Following the incidents of violence in Nuh and Gurugram in Haryana, a wave of rumors has now begun. These rumors are being spread through social media. It is being claimed that since the outbreak of violence, all markets and offices in Gurugram have been closed. Some posts mention the possibility of remote work in certain offices, while others suggest that those who went to work are being advised to return home. Several posts also discuss the internet and roads being blocked. However, the Gurugram police have refuted these claims.

The Gurugram police took to Twitter to urge people not to spread such rumors. In a tweet, the Gurugram police wrote,

"We condemn the spreading of such false information and rumors. All offices are open and functioning. There is no restriction imposed in Gurugram. We appeal to everyone not to propagate such rumors."

What did the Chief Minister say?

In relation to the incident that occurred in the state, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has also issued a statement. The Chief Minister has described this incident as a conspiracy. He stated,

"The incident that occurred in Nuh is extremely unfortunate. A procession of a community was underway, an event that takes place every year. Within this procession, a conspiracy was executed. The procession was halted, and an attack was launched on the police as well. This indicates a pointer towards a larger conspiracy. Those from outside Nuh who were involved in the incident are being identified. No troublemaker will be spared."

According to media reports, Home Minister Amit Shah, in connection with the recent violence, spoke to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to get the latest updates.

How did it all begin?

Indeed, on July 31st, a 'Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra' was organized in the Mewat region of Haryana by Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Around noon, the procession set off for Firozpur Jhirka. Approximately 1,000 police personnel were deployed at three locations along the route. The police reported that about 5 kilometers away, a group of young men intercepted the procession, leading to a clash between both sides. Swiftly, the situation escalated with stone-throwing and fires breaking out. Several police personnel were injured in this attack.

In the aftermath of the violence, internet services were suspended in the Mewat region until August 2nd. Meanwhile, Section 144 was imposed in Nuh, Rewari, Faridabad, and Gurugram districts. All private and government schools and colleges in Gurugram and Palwal remained closed on August 1st. Reports emerged of five deaths, including the mosque's imam, in connection with the incident. According to SP Narendra Bijarniya of Nuh district, clashes among people ensued due to reports of Monu Manesar's involvement in the procession.
