The making of 'Welcome 3' is underway, and the initial reaction to this news might evoke a sense of amazement, like a cry of "Miracle, miracle!" When reports about film sequels surface, they are often sourced from media reports. In some cases, they turn out to be accurate, while in many others, they remain uncertain. However, in the case of 'Welcome 3,' this update comes directly from one of the actors in the film. Arshad Warsi is working on the third installment of the franchise. He informed HT City that the film is being made on a grand scale.

Before 'Welcome,' Arshad has been a part of two major franchises. The first one is 'Munna Bhai,' and the second one is 'Jolly LLB.' He is eagerly awaiting the third installment of both these franchises. Regarding 'Munna Bhai 3,' he has previously mentioned that the film's production is uncertain as the makers want to be completely satisfied with the story before proceeding. In a recent interview, he did not dismiss the possibility of 'Munna Bhai 3' happening, but he also didn't express much hope. On the other hand, he did share an update about 'Jolly LLB 3.' He revealed that,
We are set to begin shooting in January 2024. It's one of those films that portray how the world operates, showcasing the clash between goodness and evil.
In the year 2013, Arshad portrayed the character of Jolly, a lawyer, in the film 'Jolly LLB.' Subsequently, in the film's sequel, his role was replaced by Akshay Kumar. Arshad attributes his replacement to the filmmakers' desire to elevate the scale of the movie. According to him, he was the one who suggested director Subhash Kapoor to cast Akshay in the role. Now, in the third installment, Arshad and Akshay's Jolly characters will come face to face.
It should be noted that the rights to the 'Welcome' series belong to Firoz Nadiadwala. Additionally, he also holds the rights to the 'Hera Pheri' and 'Aawara Paagal Deewana' franchises. On May 5th, it was reported that work has begun on 'Welcome 3,' and the casting process is underway. The makers have approached Miss India 2023, Nandini Gupta, for the lead female role. It has been mentioned that discussions are ongoing with Nandini's team. Furthermore, this year has also witnessed the initiation of 'Hera Pheri 3.' In February 2023, Akshay, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal shot a promo for the film. Alongside these two films, the makers are also working on 'Aawara Paagal Deewana 2.'
