Farsi and Dari are similar languages, but they are not the same.
Many Pakistan sing and even write poetry in Farsi. Allama Iqbal wrote beautiful poetry in Farsi, he is even known as Iqbal-e-Lahori in Iran.

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is from Faisalabad, Punjab province of Pakistan. Check anywheere.
He only sang in Punjabi and Urdu, he never sang in Pashto or Dari.
He never wrote a song about Afghanistan. Check out the song he wrote for Pakistan. Search “Pakistan Pakistan Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan” here on youtube.
