"Much ado about nothing" this is the only sentence one can relate with the pre launch hype of Apple iPhone 5. The launch of Apple iPhone 5 shows the lack of creativity and hurried decision. May be the company is more busy in suing others than putting their energy to make their product world class.
The main features they have stressed upon are:
- 4 inch screen
- Little thinner than previous launch
- Little lighter
Can these features be considered enough to throw our old phone and run for the iPhone 5? If you look at the offer seriously, you won't find anything exciting at all.
Few drawbacks one should consider before running for iPhone5:
- Supports only Nano SIM (will make you handicap and compel you to use iPhone only)
- It supports the “New Connector” only, So all your old accessories will not work until you buy an adopter that will cost 30$ from Apple's website.
- The price catch of $199, $299, $399 is only a myth. One should consider the fine lines printed on the bottom of the page http://www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html These prices are only applicable with minimum 2 years contract from cellular companies. So if you want to know the real price of Apple iPhone 5, go and asked for an "Unlocked" version.
- There are many known issues with the OS of iPhone iOS. Like mail attachments, Docx, ppt and other formats.. and many more
- It still does not pair via bluetooth with other company's devices..like Nokia and all
- Camera is average if compared with the hype. Other companies are offering much more advance technologies in mobile cameras.
- I will not call it a real new generation mobile, there are many more superior devices available in the market.
