The 12th annual 'Boryong Mud Festival' started on Daecheon Beach in Boryeong City, South Korea on Saturday, July 11. The festival is free of charge and will last until July 19.
As each year, this Mud Festival has already gathered thousands of people with visitors coming from all around the world to experience many fun events – mud bath, mud slices, mud wrestling or activities like escaping a mud prison…etc.
The only bad point is that 200 participants contracted some kinds of skin inflammations during the pre-Mud Festival events. Some 50 students complained of symptoms of dermatitis and itching and are still being treated.
But no matter what, people seem to have a lot of fun playing in mud and enjoy being covered with it.
