A sessions court yesterday (October 7) adjourned the hearing on trial of Shiney Ahuja in a rape case till October 16 after the actor's lawyer submitted that the Bombay High Court has stayed the framing of charges for a week.
The arguments on the framing of charges was expected to be heard by the court.
The Bombay High Court had stayed the framing of charges against Ahuja until next week after the prosecution sought time to reply to the petition filed by the actor seeking forensic and medical reports.
The actor was spotted wearing a 'tilak' from the Siddhivinayak temple, where he offered prayers in the morning.
Ahuja's lawyer Shrikant Shivade yesterday informed the trial court about the High Court order after which Judge S R Trivedi adjourned the matter till October 16.
