How do you react to the issue?
What do you plan to do now?
But besides Swagata, Varun and Nalini too are making the same accusations…
Joanna: So what about the sexual favours issue?
But she talks of the pool party, where she was present.
Is it true that Nikhil Chinappa got a room booked for you in Goa?
They even spoke of your alleged involvement in a murder case in Chandigarh.
Swagata: “I have nothing against the show Splitsvilla. Nor would I say anything controversial to get fame. Itna bada platform bhi nahin hai yeh. I haven’t blamed Rajiv sir either. But how could he say no director or crew member was involved at the pool party incident when he didn’t even turn up for the party. As far as the preferential treatment tow a rd s Jo a n n a and Sakshi and usage of abusive words for Joanna is concerned, every bit can be validated. Also, Joanna herself blurted out the fact that Nikhil had booked a room for her.”
Cheshta: “I didn’t see Joanna smooch Hitesh but was informed by Swagata later how Joanna was asked to do it. However, I did see Joanna getting cosy with Nikhil in the pool. Later, Joanna told us how Nikhil also got a room booked for at the Sun City Resort. We dropped her there. Had Joanna not divulged this secret there wouldn’t have been this controversy! It was this mistake of hers that gave Swagata the opportunity to take revenge.
Lekin Swagata bolti sach hai. Sakshi too was rumored to have circulated her MMS to garner media hype. Usne pehle kaha ki uska cell chori ho gaya aur uska MMS leek ho gaya tha. Baad main yeh bhi rumor tha ki Pune mai logon ne who dekh liya tha. I’m sad that the show’s name has got blacklisted. ”
Mohit: “Swagata is a kleptomaniac. Her allegations have stemmed from the personal grudges that she has against the winners.”
Nikhil Chinappa's Confession:
The allegation that I sought sexual favours from contestants
If I sought sexual favours from Joanna, why in God’s name did she not win the contest? When Varun Jhamb changed his vote – he effectively made Siddharth and Sakshi win. Why did we allow him to change his vote, if Joanna had “slept with the whole crew”?
The allegation that I booked a room for Joanna?
A little research would have told you who booked what for whom. I finally know the truth about the room’s booking – and it involves two people who are friends of Joanna’s in Goa. If the media had asked Joanna for facts, they would find that after Splitsvilla finished, she and some other contestants decided to stay back in Goa.
However my favourite bit about the allegations, are those levelled against the show director and his comment to Swagata,“Mujhe Joanna se matlab hai, tumse nahin.”
We had returned from the finale episode’s boxing match where Mohit has hurt himself and was rushed to hospital. Joanna, meanwhile had a breathing attack and was rushed to the hospital too. I had gone to see Mohit. After returning to the Villa, Rajiv and I were sitting in the verandah outside our quarters (we were in rooms up the hill, 100m above the Splitsvilla building and I was only allowed on the lower decks when the crew was ready to film my bits with the contestants). We heard angry shouts from the contestants Villa. Rajiv walki-talkied a producer and he told us that Swagata had started fighting with Joanna. “She's trying to get footage because she was eliminated so early in the competition,” said the producer. The director, who was in the middle of the screaming match between Swagata and Joanna- had told Swagata, “Mujhe Joanna se matlab hai” – and here is why.
Swagata and the remaining dumped contestants had been brought back to the show to vote for the winners, they weren’t aware of this yet. The final day’s shoot had competitions that only Joanna, Sakshi, Mohit and Sidharth were taking part in. The doctor had specifically told the show’s producers that Joanna needed rest. The second problem was that the following day was the last day’s shoot at Splitsvilla. The Villa had to be vacated, camera teams and hotel rooms were only available for one more day and return flights and trains had already been booked. The show’s director could NOT afford to have Joanna (or any of the 4 finalists for that matter) in a hospital bed on the final day of shoot. The entire season’s finale depended on that.
Therefore, “Mujhe Joanna se matlab hai, tumse koi matlab nahin.” Like I said, the truth is insipidly boring.
