Motorola today unveiled its newest mid-range handset, the MOTOSLVR L9.

Among others, the L9 features an integrated music player, FM radio, and powerful imaging and video capture, making for a rich multimedia experience. And with Motorola's new CrystalTalk technology, the handset automatically accounts for background noise, adjusting audio to match ambient volume.

The integrated music player with stereo Bluetooth wireless technology allows users wirelessly enjoy music on-the-go. Integrated FM radio completes the music experience.

Other features of the phone include: a 512MB card and external microSD memory card support up to 2GB; talktime of up to 400 mins and standby time of up to 350 hours; 2.0 mega pixels camera with 8x digital zoom; video capture with 4x zoom; full screen landscape playback at 30 frames per second (fps); and progressive downloading and video streaming for quick music/video downloads.

The L9 is powered by GPRS and EDGE Class 10 technology, allowing quick downloads and information exchanges.

And, it comes with the Screen 3 application for staying in-touch with latest news/happenings; as also the MusicID application for enabling users get information about songs being played in their immediate surroundings.

An unobtrusive live news and information streaming service, Screen 3 streams live feeds into the L9, and the user can opt either to get brief information about the feed, or the entire story on his/her handset.

The MusicID application works by sending information over GPRS to a server, and then transmitting relevant information back to the user.
