Mariah Carey hopes Obsessed will be an anthem for stalked and abused people. The 40-year-old singer, whose recent track is believed to be about her former relationship with rapper Eminem, has denied the single was based on their romance, but believes it has healing qualities.

Mariah – who is married to actor-and-rapper Nick Cannon – said, “I wouldn’t ever call anyone an inspiration for that song. But I’m happy all the people who have been stalked and abused now have an anthem.” The music video shows Mariah apparently dressed up as Eminem, in which she said he was “delusional” for hinting they had slept together in his track Bagpipes From Baghdad.
