NEW DELHI: India's golden girl PT Usha burst into tears on Monday. Usha, who came for 49th National Open Athletics Championship in Bhopal, was unhappy with the accommodation provided to her by the organizers.
When the former track queen asked for better accommodation, she was refused by the officials. As a result of that Usha broke down into tears in front of the media.
“I never expected this kind of behaviour, but then things work like this only in our country and that is the reason we are far behind the rest of the world”, she said.
An upset Usha lambasted the sports authority officials and blamed them for their apathy towards Indian sportspersons.
