Karan Johar has planned a unique free show of Wake Up Sid. If your name is Siddharth, then you and a friend can watch Wake Up Sid for free. This show will be held this week. The day, date and name of the multiplex will soon be known.
Karan Johar said, "We are going to have a free show in all the metros in the country. Be it Pune, Bangalore, Mumbai or Kolkata, there will be a screening for all the Siddarth’s and one companion. Wake Up Sid is all about Siddarth becoming Sid and I think we owe that much to them. The show will be held at the same time on the same day in multiplexes. I am in the process of finalising the details."
Ayan Mukerji, the director of the film said, "I think it’s a great idea by Karan. When I was growing up Raj and Rahul were the names of guys around that age. However Siddarth is an old traditional name, but it is also new at the same time. It’s a cool name and a cool idea.”
