Story of an All Time Fav. Bollywood Song - Nanha Munna Raahi Hoon

  Bollywood » You are here
Heartwarming song from the movie Son Of India, Nanha Munna Rahi Hoon, Desh Ka Sipahi Hoon. One of the most sung Bollywood number of all the time.

This song was originally sung by Smt Shanti Mathur. Most of us can related with this song very strongly and for me it's nostalgic. It can bring your childhood memory back and one cannot stop thinking about old good days. Most of us have performed on this song many times in our school competitions and annual functions. When I first saw this video on Youtube, I dig the story little bit and brought some interesting information here.

First listen this wonderful song:

This song was originally sung by Smt Shanti Mathur for the original sound track in Mumbai in 1962 and now here she sings the songs once again (in the year 2010) in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman amongst friends and relatives. She is the cousin of Mukesh (Singer). She sang this song when she was 8 years old and now she is singing is again at the age of 70. It's a treat to watch her singing.

She is a real gem of Bollywood.

One more song from the film "Son Of India" sung by the same singer:
