Shimit Amin's shoot a romantic scene with Ranbir Kapoor and Shazahn Padamsee at Nariman Point

The presence of Ranbir Kapoor and Shazahn Padamsee sparked off quite a stir at Mumbai's love point, Nariman Point recently.  The actors were there to shoot a romantic scene for Shimit Amin's Rocket Singh: Salesman of the year.

While Ranbir and Shazahn romanced for the camera, real-life couples were asked to leave the place.
An eyewitness said, "Shimit wanted Ranbir and Shazahn to walk holding hands together. He wanted to capture the two in a romantic mood for the scene.  The director had also chosen a perfect timing for the shot - late evening - when the sun's just about to disappear into the sea."

Shimit did not want any lay person around when he was canning the shot with Ranbir and Shazahn. Says a bystander, "It is a well known fact that the far end of Marine Drive - where the rocks are - is frequented by couples. In fact it is known as lovers' point. And there were quite a few of them on that day too. The girls were cosily snuggled close to their guys. However, they were soon told to vacate the place."
"The couples at first that it was some kind of moral policing going around. It was only later that they learnt they were being asked to leave because of a film shoot. All the couples then vacated the place immediately.  Some of the girls recognised Ranbir and went crazy, but he handled all the attention very calmly and smiled and waved at them." said the witness.
The shooting then progressed smoothly. "Though the shoot had caused a bit of traffic jam and a huge crowd had gathered to watch it, Shimit wrapped up the shoot in one hour flat. The couples went back to enjoying their romantic evening sitting on the rocks."
Shimit Amin remained unavailable for comment.
