A source from the censor board says that Regional Officer Vinayak Azad was of the view that censor must move in accordance with the changing times and that the kisses between Saif Ali Khan and Deepika were ‘too cute’ to invite any objection from the governing body.

However, everyone is not that generous and the whole kissing act between Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone is being seen in bollywood as Saif’s response to his beau Kareena Kapoor’s ten hot lip-lock sequences in Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Kambakkht Ishq’.

The buzz is that Saif Ali Khan wants to make it abundantly clear to hot Kareena Kapoor that he, too, had a choice and if Kareena Kapoor may go that far in her ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ without showing any respect to the sentiments of his parents and family, she should be prepared to face the same from his side too.

In any case there seems to be a kissing competition between Saif Ali Khan and beau Kareena Kapoor, or at least it seems so after Saif Ali Khan’s lip- lock in ‘Love Aaj Kal’. It may be recalled that Kareena Kapoor had justified her lip- lock with Akshay as demanded by the script, and here too Saif Ali Khan is parroting the same line to justify his lip- lock in his film.

In the meantime, Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming flick ‘Love Aaj Kal’ seems to be heading for a confrontation with Sikh religious and cultural organizations. In fact, a Sikh organization Punjabi Cultural and Heritage Board has already sent a memorandum to Saif Ali Khan and others for presenting Sardar look in an improper way, which is insulting to them.

According to Charan Singh Sapra, the president of the above organization the ‘too much trimming of Saif Ali Khan’s beard’ in the film was against their religious tenets and the whole sequence must be re-shot. The organization has also threatened to stall the screening of the film, which is due for a world wide release on July 31.

It may be recalled that Saif Ali Khan has donned the look of a Sardar in ‘Love Aaj Kal’, and a portion of the film had been shot at Patiala in Punjab. At that time, Saif Ali Khan had ensured that he respects the sensitivities of the community, but once again it seems to have gone wrong somewhere.

However, Saif Ali Khan, whose production house has produced the film, is confident that once the film is shown to Sikh organization representative, they would not have any objection to the content of the flick. The film has been directed by Imtiaz Ali of ‘Jab We Met’ fame and also stars veteran Rishi Kapoor in a pivotal role.
