Priyanka Chopra is all set to rock but its not just India, its more of the world this time. For those who keep fewer clues about Priyanka, let you inform that the ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ girl’s not only going to entertain us with her latest movie ‘Barfi’, but she also has a solo music album lined up in her kitty named ‘In My City’. The album is set to be premiered on 13th of September in the midst of the pre-game show for the NFL Thursday Night Football, but Priyanka loves her desi fans so much that she re-planned the whole schedule and managed to launch the album 12 hours prior in the home country. The actress worked really hard to deliver the best she could and also flew extensively between india and los-angeles to record the album. She collaborated with artists like Sam Watters, Matthew Koma, Jay Sean, RedOne Producer and her single will feature rapper will.i.am (from the band Black Eyed Peas) aswell.
Her co-star of many films and friend Shahrukh Khan also posted online: “Priyanka has the capacity and talent to become the first crossover star from India, our first creative export. She has a super team backing her and she is truly an international brand and will make India very proud.”
Producer RedOne who earlier had had other prominent singers like Enrique Iglesias, and Lady Gaga to work with has produced the album and is managed by Troy Carter, the CEO of Atom Factory whose clientele includes Lady Gaga. Priyanka is the first Bollywood star to be signed by Hollywood’s leading talent management company CAA. The ablum is said to be in its final stages and is expected to hit the market later this year.
